Viewing/Editing Leads (Central)
The leads page is equipped with many useful features from robust sorting and filtering to deep customization of the view. Once you have mastered navigation and its associated tools viewing and editing leads becomes a simple task. Here is a summary of features covered in this article:

A. Leads Page Overview
Here is a short video overview of the Leads Page explaining the features of the leads view and some quick examples of sorting and editing data.
B. Choosing Data Columns
- You can choose which data columns appear by selecting them using the provided checkbox feature.
a. Start by clicking the “Actions” button and a dropdown menu will appear
b. Select “Edit Columns” from the dropdown menu
2. A popup screen will appear displaying all available fields.
a. The “Sync Status” column is enabled by default
b. Select those fields you want to appear in your view by filling in the checkbox
c. The “Topics” and “Follow Ups” columns are enabled by default
d. You can use the scrollbar to see all fields
e. Select the “Apply” button to save your view
C. Customizing Your View
Custom views can be created by dragging-and-dropping columns via column headers. The following features are currently offered:
- Dragging-and-dropping a column to sort the order of data view
- Adjust column width by dragging the edge of the column header
- Columns can be pinned left or right via the hamburger menu adjacent to a column header
- Click the hamburger menu in a column header to reset the column view

D. Sorting and Filtering Leads
The filtering and sorting engine allows you to customize your lead data so that you can view and update lead information more efficiently.
Column Sorting Features
- Click once to sort ascending (↑)
- Click again to sort descending (↓)
- Click again and no sort order will be applied
To use sorting on more than 1 column at a time:
Mac - hold down the command (⌘) key when clicking on your second column header.
Windows - hold down the (ctrl+alt) keys when clicking on your second column header.
A numerical indicator will appear next to the ↑/↓ symbols to denote if the column is a primary sort, secondary sort, and so on.
Column Sorting Example
- In this example we have performed a mouse-over of the “Last Name” column. Notice how the field has become darker in color and delineated as a rectangle. A hamburger menu also appears on the right with a popup of the field name (Last Name)
2. If we click the column name (Last Name) an ascending sort is applied to the view. Notice the following:
a. An up arrow ▲ appears next to the column label (Last Name)
b. The records are now sorted in ascending order by last name
3. If we click the column name (Last Name) again a descending sort is applied to the view. Notice the following:
a. A down arrow ▼ appears next to the column label (Last Name)
b. The records are now sorted in descending order by last name
Note: By clicking the field a third time the sort function is removed.
Column Filtering Features
- Select and deselect values
- Use type-ahead search to find specific values
- Easily filter on any column, regardless of data type, including dates and numbers
- Quickly remove filters, simply deselect all, then select all
This example shows filtering leads based on these titles (CEO, CFO, Product Manager) and then downloading the CSV based on the filtered column view:

Tip: Column headers appear in blue if a filter is applied
E. Editing Lead Data (Leads Page)
Editing leads is a simple process when using the available tools.
- Double click, edit/update the text, and click enter to save
- Alternatively, select a cell, then use arrow keys to navigate; once focused on a cell, start typing an edit, and then hit enter and the edit will save successfully

Editing Lead Data (Bulk Edit mode)
Bulk edit mode is another feature that can be used for making a unique change to multiple records. You can first sort records according to the criteria that you want to update. Then make a single change that bulk updates all selected records. Here is a help article explaining the details: How Do I Bulk Edit Lead Interactions?
F. Viewing/Editing Topics & Follow-Ups (Leads Page)
Viewing Topics & Follow-Ups (Leads Page)
From the Leads Page you have the ability to view/edit topics and follow-ups in-line. You can click to open up each grouping and review the responses of your lead interactions to the qualifiers associated with your event.
1. From the Leads Page you have the ability to view/edit topics and follow-ups in-line.
a. They will initially appear at the end of the line in your leads view.
b. You can click the right arrow to expose any additional topics or follow-ups that will initially be hidden.
c. You can also expand the column width by dragging from the vertical line separating the fields
d. You may need to reduce the number of displayed fields in order to avoid congestion while viewing and
editing topics/follow-ups. You can click the “Actions” button and temporarily uncheck fields in your leads
view (See example B2 above)
Tip: Only 1 topic and 1 follow-up are visible by default (groupings are collapsed by default) by clicking on a group header to expand the group (Topics > or Follow-Ups >)
Editing Topics & Follow-Ups (Leads Page)
Click into a cell to make quick and easy edits & hit Enter to save. It's as simple as that! You can edit any type of field in this view, including notes fields.
G. Editing Lead Data (Lead Interaction Details)

You can also view/edit leads and their qualifiers from the Lead Interaction Details screen.
1. To access this view mouse-over and click on the magnifying glass icon next to the lead you want to edit.
Edit Contact Information (Left Side of Screen)
2. In order to edit the Contact Information of the record:
a. Mouse-over and click the edit button at the upper right.
b. You can also move between lead detail records by clicking on the “Previous” and “Next” buttons located
above the edit button.
c. In order to return to the list of leads click on the “Back to Lead List” button at the upper left.
d. The fields now become editable. Click inside fields to make edits
e. Click the “Save” button to save any changes
f. Click the “Cancel” button to not save any changes
Edit Topics and Follow-Ups (Interaction Timeline - Right Side of Screen)
In this example we will edit a Topic
3. In order to edit Topics and Follow-Ups of the record:
a. Start by clicking on the edit icon at the right of the interaction timeline frame.
b. We will edit the Topic (Persona) currently set to Marketing Ops. To start the edit of this topic click on the
[+] Add a Subtopic icon
c. A window will appear below the existing value. Click inside the window to display the subtopic options
d. A dropdown of available alternatives (Event Ops, Sales, Agency) to the existing value (Marketing Ops)
e. Select “Sales”
f. Click the “Save” (checkmark icon) button
4. In this example we will edit the Notes field
a. Click the edit button (same as Step 3a)
b. The “Additional Notes” field is editable because a text box appears. Make a change to the text in the text
c. Click the “Save” button to save any changes
d. Click the “Cancel” button to not save any changes
