How to check in an attendee when scan to check-in is enabled

Scan to Check-In Overview

If your event is configured to Check-In attendees, use the ‘Scan to Check-In’ premium feature to view the option for Check-In on your Home Screen.

To begin checking in attendees, tap on the orange ‘Check-In’ option in the center of the screen.

Now on the Check-In Attendees screen, you can search or scroll through the list of preloaded attendees. As mentioned, you may search for a specific attendee in the search bar.

Once found, you have two options:

  1. Check-in by tapping the gray circle of an unchecked attendee.

Once the attendee is checked in, it is indicated by the green checkmark beside the name.

 2. Check-in an attendee by scanning their badge.

3. If the attendee was not preloaded into your atEvent attendee list you can also manually add them by clicking “Manual Add”

You may also tap the attendee’s name. When tapping an attendee’s name, you will be able to qualify the attendee or hit finish.

If qualifying, make the necessary selections and either finish or add follow-ups - remember all required topics will be highlighted in orange.

If adding follow-ups, you will be presented with a list of options very much like the previous page, ‘Add Topics.’

Make your selections or add notes by tapping inside the text box and adding text.  

Note: You may also speak to text.

Tap the ‘Finish’ button to complete. You will be dropped back into the check-in list.

If an attendee was not on your preloaded list, you may also add them manually by tapping on the orange button with the plus sign towards the bottom of the screen.

You will be prompted to add the attendee’s information, similarly to adding a lead manually.

 

Setting Up Check-In Alerts

Another thing to note, you may receive alerts for any attendees that check into your event. A use case could be if you are looking to speak with a particular prospect on the attendee list. 

To create an alert, you will search or scroll through until you find the attendee.

Once found, you will tap on the three dots to the right of the attendee’s name.

A few options will pop up from the bottom of the screen

  1. Qualify
  2. Edit
  3. Get Check-in Alert

Toggle the ‘Get Check-in Alert’ to the right

When the attendee is checked in, by you or a colleague, you will receive a notification, which will appear at the top of your screen along with who checked them in.
